Two years ago I attended a technology workshop in Portland Oregon. As is with many National Education Conferences there is a wide-range of offerings for those in attendance. The keynote presenter was someone I had never heard of so I was somewhat reluctant to finish out the evening listing to what I thought was just another grand speech about what we need to do in education to make any significant progress. In my career I have listened to a plethora of speeches on this very topic.
To my surprise I was in for an awakening. I had no way of knowing how the presenter, George Courous, and his blog The Principal of Change, would impact my teaching. If you have some time and want to see for yourself take a look at his blog. After all it is his presentation and subsequent blog posts that have inspired my development. I hope you will find it as impressive as I do.
